PROSPECT – Village Council met March 21 to discuss the rates at SunSwim Pool.
The council discussed whether to charge for season passes or just charge daily admission. According to the council, there have been complaints in the past as to closing the pool early or not reopening after closing due to inclement weather. The issue involves keeping lifeguards while the pool is closed.
The council also discussed the cost of the spray to kill mosquitoes that could be carrying the Zika virus. Village Administrator Ken Blue reported the spray costs three times the regular spray and the village will probably not use it unless the need arises.
Another concern was vehicles parking beside mailboxes, preventing mail from being delivered. Council members noted it is important residents be aware of where they park. Residents were urged to call the sheriff’s office when it occurs.
The next council meeting is set for April 4.
